This event continues a long series of successful conferences organised to provide an international forum for all concerned with fundamental, engineering and applied aspects of oxidation techniques involving ozone and related oxidants. SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES The issue of sustainable Agri-Food industry looks at interactions between the food processing, the environment and consumers’ demand of fresher and safer products. Each stage of production from crop or livestock to transportation and storage, transformation, has environmental impacts on natural resources while hygiene and safety are of fundamental importance. This event will provide an overview of the current state of knowledge and latest advances regarding the use of Ozone and Related Oxidants for a sustainable Agri-Food Industry , their mechanisms of action, the related engineering aspects and the transfer of sound science into industrial approaches . The Programme will focus on: • Food Safety & Quality • Regulatory Status • Wash water • Water Use & Reuse • Air treatment • Soil treatment • Current Research • In-field developments • Case studies • System design • Product developments • Synergy effects In this context, this conference will offer a unique opportunity to consider ozone & related oxidants technologies for microbial inactivation, optimization of water use, effluent treatment, water reuse and recycling, reduction of emissions to air, cleaning, food preservation, agricultural use by interfacing with researchers, practitioners, designers, end-users, experts and equipment suppliers. Co-Organised by the European African Asian Australasian Group of the International Ozone Association And the Research Association on Food Industry International Conference & Exhibition October 29 - 31, 2007 - Valencia, Spain We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to Valencia International Conference & Exhibition October 29 - 31, 2007 - Valencia, Spain PROGRAMME The conference will feature scientific and technical presentations, poster presentations with introduction platform, discussions, networking opportunities, exhibits and technical tour. The social program will include a conference dinner in the famous Oceanographic Museum, a post-conference technical tour and tourist excursions open to accompanying persons. CALL FOR PAPERS - PUBLICATIONS Researchers, scientists, practitioners are invited to propose oral or poster presentations related to the theme topics. Authors should submit an extended abstract in English of two pages (with tables and figures) by May 31 2007 preferably by e-mail to the IOA-EA3G Secretariat (see submission form). The Programme Committee will notify authors about the acceptance of their papers for oral or poster presentation before June 30 2007. Full texts written according to guidelines should be available before September 15 2007. To encourage young researchers, the Programme Committee will select and award a prize to the best paper presented by a doctorate student. All accepted papers will be printed in the conference proceedings that will be handed out to participants at registration. After the conference, the editors of the Ozone: Science & Engineering Journal will make the final selection of best full papers and poster summaries for publication of papers in this IOA journal. EXHIBITION AND SPONSORING OPTIONS In parallel to the scientific and technical sessions, companies are invited to present products, processes and services in connection with the conference theme. This event is a unique opportunity for all organizations concerned with any aspect covered by the Conference theme to enhance their presence and visibility within this community. Exhibiting and sponsoring are important and effective media. The exclusiveness of the conference theme allows exhibitors and sponsors a unique possibility to present them to a unique and targeted audience. We would like to invite you to take part in this event. For detailed information on the exhibition organization and/or on the sponsoring options, please contact the IOA-EA3G secretariat at ioa@esip.univ-poitiers.fr or return the request for information form. REGISTRATION AND ACCOMODATION Registration will be available at the beginning of May. The registration fee will cover scientific and technical sessions, book of abstracts, proceedings (CD-ROM), lunches, coffee breaks and technical tour. Accomodation will be possibly reserved for participants at a special discount rate. CONFERENCE VENUE AINIA, Parque Technologico c.
